Halitosis or bad breath is a problem that can put an end to your social and personal life completely. Fenugreek is one of the most common natural treatment methods used for curing halitosis. Boil half a litre of water and add one teaspoon of fenugreek seeds into it. Simmer for about 10 minutes. Cool it and drain the seeds before drinking it. You can drink fenugreek water throughout the day instead of plain water to keep the halitosis controlled.
When the halitosis is the result of food that is trapped in the intestine, nothing else works as well as avocados probably. Include avocados in plenty in your diet and chew raw avocados for a quick fix solution. Avocados prevent putrification of food in the intestine and prevent the occurrence of halitosis.
The food that is trapped between the teeth and gums too can cause halitosis. Chewing a good crunchy fruit like guava helps in removing the food particles between the teeth and prevents bad breath. Guavas are also excellent for gum related disorders and hence can be consumed after every meal. Chew the seeds and fruit well to facilitate cleaning of the teeth and mouth before swallowing.

The leaves of mint can freshen your mouth and impart a cooling effect on the whole digestive tract. Mint leaves can be chewed after every meal to freshen up your mouth and prevent halitosis.
Halitosis can be caused due to a dry mouth as well. Therefore, drinking plenty of water will prevent the occurrence of halitosis. Water keeps the mouth moist and flushes out the toxins harboured in the intestine which could be causing bad breath. Drink at least 2 litres of water every day. Drink water after your meals as well.
